Part 2  –  Why are you overweight?

Your dangerous habits

First of all, I recommend that you think about why you eat the kind of food that you do. Now, this question may seem odd. You might think: "Well, it's just food you know... There's nothing special about it. I eat what everyone else does. What are you talking about?"

Ok, so have you always been eating like that? Did you inherit it from your parents? Is it normal because all your friends eat like that? Does it work out well for you? I mean, does it give you the health and the body that you desire? If it doesn’t, then maybe it isn't just normal food that everyone eats. If you do think your eating is normal, and you are still overweight, then this is the area you need to be working with. Think about this for a while.

Next, take a look at how much you move. Do you sit a lot at work? Do you always take your car, no matter how short the distance is to where you're going? Do you take the elevator or the escalator instead of the stairs? What do you do in your spare time? How much do you move?

What are you willing to do in order to lose weight and have a healthier life? What are you ready to sacrifice? Why are those things so dear to you? Do they hold a value in themselves or are you addicted to them out of many years of habit? Again, read in the mind-section how habits are addictive.

Now you're ready to continue with the more specific. Which is the area you need to start working with first?
